Air Waybill Management System (AWBMS)


AWBMS is an air waybill management system that allows close monitoring and provides up-to-date information of each and every air waybill issued by airlines.

With AWBMS you can:
  • Eliminate cost and sales rate discrepancies
  • Reduce redundant administration work
  • Improve customer service levels
  • Reduce order processing time
  • Better manage cash flow
  • Faster billing cycle

AWBMS uses a friendly Windows interface. It is developed using Visual Basic and can uses either SQL Server or Access as database, depending on size of operation.
Currently, AWBMS is being used to manage air waybills of China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and China Airlines.

Interactive Multimedia System
 

Star Profiling is a training system developed for Service Quality Centre, Singapore.

Service Quality Centre is a joint venture between Singapore Airlines(SIA) and Singapore Productivity and Standards Board (PSB) that couple SIA's long understanding of the psychology and business of developing its personnel to deliver quality service and PSB's experience in developing resources through strategic partnerships with private sector companies. Service Quality Centre is set up with the realisation that Singapore must excel in service to meet the burgeoning challenges of the expanding global and local marketplace.

There are 2 parts to Star Profiling:

  1. Interactive multimedia application

    This multimedia application, developed using Macromedia Authorware and Flash, is a situation test that contains scenarios where customer service personnel in different industry will face in each working day. Participants will need to select, from the options given, the one that they think they will react similarly. Once participants finished the test, the system will send the data files, containing the test answers, back to the centre for processing.

  2. Report Processing system

    The report processing system, developed using Visual Basic and SQL Server, will use the data sent back to process each participant result. The system will then create different reports, based on requirement, for the participant, employers or prospective employers. Different reports available are employment, promotion and other purposes. With the database created, reports can also be generated for performance against each company and industry.
 

 

SSCD is an interactive multimedia application for technical marketing and support officer to familiarise with in house product. 2 separate applications was created for 2 different division of Hewlett Packard (HP), namely Asia Pacific Printer Division (APD) and Singapore Printer Operations (SPO). Each application contains detailed technical answers and drawing to different series of printers.
 



E-Station at Suntec City
 



Providing consultation for StarHub subsidiary, e-station, when it design and implement its network at Suntec City. E-station is an infotainment centre for LAN games, Internet cafe and training centre. It has 400+ computers and 30 over servers serving out multi players' games and providing access to internet.
 



Siemens




Time based services billing system is a sub-accounting software that handles costing and billing function of companies providing time based services. The companies will be professional firms like, consulting, accounting and law practising.

This application allows costing and billing of both human resources and physical materials. Reports with graph can be generated to show profit and loss on each job, each project and even each individual.

This application is developed using Visual Basic and can work with SQL Server, Oracle and Access databases.

Time-based services billing system is currently used by Siemens and some accounting firms.



Starhub Shops




VisualPOS is a generic point of sales application for retailer. This application is created using Visual Basic and works on SQL Server and Access. The application covers function like:
  • Sales
  • Refund
  • Ordering
  • Receiving
  • Promotions
  • Ad hoc discounts
  • Different types of payments and etc.

Reports can be generated are daily sales, current float value, sales per employees and others.
VisualPOS is currently used by StarHub retail shop.



Public Utilities Board




WDN is an application developed, entirely in Visual C++, for Public Utilities Board (PUB).

WDN is created for the purpose of drawing water distribution network for the whole of Singapore. The program is able to show flow pressure and other parameters at each node of the network. Users of this program are able to zoom in and out at different part of the network and can choose to print the network at different resolution, orientation and size, up to A2.



Excel (S) Pte Ltd and Mentor Media Ltd




WMS is a powerful yet flexible function oriented, warehouse management system that can bring real-time, state-of-the-art computerized warehouse management to your warehouse operations.

With WMS you can:
  • Improve inventory accuracy
  • Decrease order processing time
  • Improve customer service levels
  • Eliminate stocking and picking errors
  • Improve the use of operator and warehouse resources
  • Reduce inventory holding costs
  • Increase return on inventory investment
  • Reduce issuing errors

WMS uses a friendly Windows interface. It is developed using Visual Basic, the most popular and capable software development tools available. As a result, WMS can run under on different Microsoft Operating System. WMS also features a unique roles based structure, in which all rules, workflow and operating variables are easily configurable by the user. WMS is able to work with both SQL Server and Oracle, the 2 most popular and scalable relational database in the market.

Currently, there are 2 versions of WMS:
  1. For warehouse operators
  2. For manufacturer own warehouse
Both versions of WMS have the same architecture:
  • Using client/server system to operate within the warehouse
  • Using web browser to query system from elsewhere, by customers, suppliers and management
WMS is currently implemented at Exel Singapore Pte Ltd warehouses and at Mentor Media Limited
